SHAH ALAM: PIJ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (PIJ), the country’s pioneer aloe vera-based beauty products producer, is targeting to achieve RM2 million in sales next year following the launch of three AloeShafy beauty products here today.

Its director, Sharifah Suziana Syed Ali said she was confident that the newly-launched products – Aloe Vera Juice, Aloe Body Gel and facial skin care sets – would be well received by consumers due to their benefits and competitive prices.

“The prices, ranging from RM39.90 to RM160, are reasonable compared with that of international brand beauty products,” she told reporters at the launch of the products here today.

Also present was PIJ Chairman Rozan Mohd Sa’at.PIJ is a subsidiary of Perbadanan Islam Johor Holding Sdn Bhd.

Sharifah Suziana said the company’s products exclusively used aloe vera harvested from its 48.5-hectare farm in the Bio Desaru Organic Food Valley in Johor, which was capable of producing 120 tonnes of aloe vera leaves per year.

The AloeShafy beauty products, which are being manufactured using advanced technology from the Netherlands in Pasir Gudang, have acquired several major manufacturing accreditations, including ISO 22000: 2005, GMP and halal certification,” she said.

She said the company also planned to market the products internationally, starting with Singapore, Brunei and the Middle Eastern countries.

“We will be collaborating with several government agencies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation to promote the products internationally,” she said, adding that the company also planned to introduce other health products such as aloe vera energy drinks.
